2008 Highlights:
2008 was a productive and fruitful year for the International Clean Energy Alliance. The Alliance attended numerous meetings, which have sparked new partnerships between the public and private sectors. Examples of such meetings include the following:
House Appropriations meeting
Senate Appropriations meeting
U.S. India Business Council meeting on clean energy
APP briefing
National Hydrogen partnership meeting
Major Economies briefing by James Connaughton, White House CEQ
US Treasury meeting on Clean Technology Fund/Clean Energy programs
The ICE Alliance also hosted its first multi-sector Roundtable meeting, “Broadening Opportunities for Clean Technology Deployment: Perspectives from Industry, Federal Agencies, and Congress” (See link for further, detailed information regarding the Roundtable), on October 22, 2008. The Roundtable’s success led to follow-up meetings with Federal agencies to discuss potential areas for future collaboration. These included:

By building cross-sectoral relationships, the Alliance positions itself as a go-to organization for clean energy policy development.
